MCUT Wins "Green Procurement Excellence Award" for Seventh Consecutive Year in 2025, Advancing from Green Consumption to Net-Zero Emissions
The awards ceremony was grandly held at the Banqiao 435 Art Zone, with Dean Kuei Meng of the Office of General Affairs personally leading the team to accept the award on behalf of MCUT. This seven-year consecutive recognition is not only an endorsement of the university's sustainability policies, but also highlights the meticulous care and dedication of the administrative and technical staff behind the scenes in vetting every procurement detail. MCUT has long regarded "environmental greening" as a core value of campus governance, dedicated to thriving together in harmony with the local community.
In practice, the Office of General Affairs has comprehensively promoted a green procurement mechanism. From daily office energy-saving equipment and non-toxic teaching supplies to large-scale campus renovations and the use of green building materials, the university strictly mandates priority adoption of products with national certifications, such as eco-labels, energy-saving, and water-saving marks. As the campus carbon reduction plan deepens, the scale and variety of overall green procurement have steadily grown year by year. Procurement strategies have evolved from simple "green consumption" to "green supply chain management," ensuring that every bit of school resource investment generates substantial contributions to reducing environmental burdens.
Looking to the future, MCUT will further integrate the university's R&D capabilities to introduce more innovative energy-saving and carbon-reduction technologies, optimizing campus energy management. At the same time, the university hopes to continue exerting its local influence through close industry-government-academia cooperation, leading more organizations and enterprises to engage in green actions and contribute jointly to achieving the ultimate goal of global net-zero carbon emissions.
